last weekend i watched the Singapore Symphony Orchestra do a Studio Ghilbi/Joe Hisaishi concert and it was AMAZING! it brought up so many emotions listening to some of my favourite animation music live..there were some parts where the music just made my heart swell!! as cheesy as that sounds. here are some of my favourite movie soundtracks that i would LOVE to listen to live one day:

my favourite studio ghilbi movie that i watched a million times: Princess Mononoke!!! i'm pretty sure i'll cry when i hear this live. this song is called Legend of Ashitaka, and it is fucking amazeballs:

Painted Skin soundtrack, Asian Road. isn't zhou xun just beautiful?!? Not as grand as the other songs and in fact this sounds kind of one dimensional after hearing the first few songs, but this is from one of my favourite liao zhai ghost stories series. i love this song + the main song called hua xin in chinese!
