sorry my photos are all over the place! i had no idea how to make them come out sequentially....in any case december was really nice, the hectic moving around in japan was followed by a relatively sedentary existence on my favourite island. i really like bali, (yes the tourist bali). its the perfect place to be alone in. i'd love to stay there one day.
some reflections for the new year:
i swear i had many thoughts about this but sitting here at this point and typing this, i really can't remember much. offhandedly:
1) be kinder but take less bullshit from people, not do things or serve people i don't believe in, try not to succumb to cruelty or selfishness, to never accept things without questioning. to always have the courage to stop, apologize, and start over.
2) treasure the good people in your life. its hard to always come across good, genuine people that care so if you find them, never let them go. probably some of my favourite advice. also, i've been told that i take a bit of time to warm up to new people. so this year i'll probably want to work on that. the times this year where i've reached out to new people have turned out some surprisingly effortless and genuine conversations that i really enjoyed.
3) read even more, shed the negativity, stay curious and brave.
